Moses Momanyi

Farmer, Kilimo Minnesota; Farmland Access Navigator

Moses got his start in agriculture early as a boy, growing up on his family’s farm. When he moved to the United States in 2004, he knew he wanted to go back to farming. Dawn2Dusk Farm started as a plot of rented community gardens in Hopkins MN and now, over 14 years later, Lonah and Moses have a 20-acre certified organic cultivation, live on their farm with their children and growing vegetables.

Currently they sell vegetables at Mill City, Kingfield, and Fulton farmers markets in Minneapolis and run Kilimo Minnesota, a farmer Incubator training emerging fellow emerging farmers to farm in Minnesota.

In 2020, they started mentoring other farmers to farm as a business before they can move to their own farms.
