Jim Molenaar

Jim Molenaar has a wide variety of experience with farm families during his forty-two-year career in

agriculture education. His primary work has been as farm business management instructor (one-on-one

education with farmers), farm mediator, MDA Minnesota Department of Agriculture Rural Finance

Authority Board Member and MDA Farm Advocate. Jim was instrumental in seeking grant and legislative

funding, as well as the initial program design leading to the creation of the Minnesota Rural Mental

Health Program for farm families. Sensing a great need in the farm community, Jim has made Farm

Succession/Transition advising a major focus area of his work.
